On the 16th of June 2017, CORE Platform collaborated with the President's Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society and organised an event to promote Corporate Social Responsibility by facilitating networking between NGOs and businesses at local and national level, under the patronage of Her Excellency, The President of Malta.
On Wednesday 12 th July 2017, CORE Platform, the national platform for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Malta, held its first AGM since its launch in September 2015. The organisation was set up on an initiative of Her Excellency, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, who wanted a platform representing CSR in Malta that would act as the link between the business community and civil society in the country, as well as encourage exchange and mutual learning amongst members and stakeholders at national and international level.
This year, the European SDG Summit will focus on “Impactful Partnerships to Build Back Better”. The Covid-19 crisis has been a human tragedy and a stress test for us all, and what it has revealed is concerning – from borders closing, protectionism and fraying supply chains. The world seems to have become a more isolated place overnight.
To promote, to debate, to raise awareness about and to disseminate the concepts of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Social Responsibility and to be a platform of exchange and mutual learning among the members, its associates, civil society and other partners at national and international levels.
