About the Organiser
CORE Platform
CORE Platform is an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting, debating, raising awareness of, and advancing the principles of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
CORE Platform developed and initiated the Malta Diversity & Inclusion Charter and officially represents Malta on the EU Platform of Diversity Charters — bringing together 27 national Diversity Charters (over 17,500 signatories and 17 million employees). CORE Platform is also the National Partner for CSR Europe in Malta.
Creating Awareness
Raising visibility of diversity and inclusion principles across Malta’s business and public sector communities through research, events, and advocacy.
Collaboration
Partnering with local and international organisations to drive meaningful systemic change in workplaces and communities.
Training

Dr. Gege Gatt
Digital Entrepreneur · AI & IT Law Specialist
CEO of EBO.AI and TEDx speaker passionate about AI, digital ethics, and transformation.
Dr. Gege Gatt is a digital entrepreneur, IT-Law specialist, and experienced Director. He is CEO of London-based EBO.AI, an AI platform disrupting customer engagement. A TEDx speaker and University of Malta lecturer, his work has been covered by Forbes, the FT, USA Today, and others.
He has won the UK’s Enterprise Awards (2024), the Malta International Business Awards (2024), and the UK healthcare HSJ Awards (2025). He serves pro bono on the Vatican’s Humanity 2.0 initiative and has been appointed by the WHO as an academic reviewer of its digital Health Information System strategy.
Emma Holten
Author · Activist · Feminist Economist
Author of Deficit (2024), sold in 10 countries. Expert in feminist economics and digital rights.
Emma Holten (b. 1991) is the author of the 2024 book Deficit, sold in 10 countries. She delivers keynotes across Europe and the US and serves on Human Rights Watch’s advisory committee on Women’s Rights.
She sat on the European Institute of Gender Equality Experts Forum and in 2023 was appointed advisor to the Danish government’s investigation of power. She holds an MA in Modern Culture from the University of Copenhagen.
Hon. Rebecca Buttigieg
Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms & Equality
Advocating for social reform, equality, and LGBTQ+ rights within the Office of the Prime Minister.
Honourable Rebecca Buttigieg serves as Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms and Equality, focusing on social policy, equality, and LGBTQ+ rights. She was instrumental in Malta’s Gender Equality Strategy 2023–2028.
Named a European Young Leader by Friends of Europe in January 2025. She holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Malta and an MSc from the University of Edinburgh (2015).

Beyond the Bias
Clayton Mercieca
Community Manager, Allied Rainbow Communities (ARC) · Coordinator, Malta Pride
Clayton Mercieca brings a background in social work and creative thinking to his role as a community builder and equality advocate. He channels years of activism in active citizenship, equality, and social justice to foster belonging and empowerment across Malta.
He has served as Head of the SOGIGESC Unit at Malta’s Human Rights Directorate. Since taking on the Malta Pride coordinator role in 2018, attendance grew from 2,500 to 8,000 in just two years, with ARC aiming to host an international event in the future.
Emma Holten
Author · Speaker · Feminist Economist
Emma Holten (b. 1991) has worked in feminist economics since 2018. In 2024 she published her debut book Deficit – On the Value of Care, now available in English, Swedish, Norwegian, German, Dutch, Italian, French, and Finnish, with six more languages forthcoming.
The book traces how economic thinkers from the Enlightenment onwards created a value framework that overlooked care work, arguing that today’s economic models perpetuate those same flaws.

Joseph K. Muscat
Neurodiversity Consultant · Trainer · Coach
Diagnosed with Visual Motor, Visual Perception, Working Memory, and Dyslexia challenges, Joseph turned years of personal struggle into a mission to create systemic change.
After over two decades as a professional photographer and entrepreneur (BFA, York University; Humber College, Toronto), he relocated to Malta in 2014 and by 2018 developed his own Seven-Step Transformative Management Methodology (SSTMM).
Today he offers corporate training, coaching, and inclusive workplace consulting — helping organisations unlock the potential of neurodiverse employees.
